As part of the FORSATY Program, implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with ATIL and funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), PVE for Peace conducted a study on the priorities of youth and their needs in Tetouan, Morocco. The study aimed to gather information that would inform the six-year action plan of the municipality and ensure that the needs and priorities of young people are taken into account.
The study was an extensive process that involved consultations with young people from various backgrounds and fields. The results of the research were then presented in a validation workshop, in which representatives of youth from different fields provided their feedback and suggestions. This workshop was an opportunity for the young people of Tetouan to have their voices heard and to contribute to the development of policies that respond to their needs.
The results of the study showed that the priorities of youth in Tetouan are diverse and include access to neighborhood facilities, employment, transportation, and civic engagement. Young people in the municipality are eager to play a more active role in the development of their community, and they see civic engagement as a key component of this process.
