Call for Applications
As part of the project “Somali Pioneers of Peace” that aims at empowering Somali youth to promote peacebuilding in their communities, PVE for Peace and HOAIPS launch a call for applications to select 15 youth leaders who are between 18 and 25 years old to take part in a three-month international capacity building program on “Using Strategic Communications to Promote Peace”. The virtual trainings facilitated by international experts will focus on four main areas: peacebuilding, conflict transformation, preventing violent extremism and strategic communications. Selected participants will also benefit from continuous mentorship sessions from thematic experts to develop actions plans to be implemented at the community level.
Who is eligible to apply:
- You are between 18 and 30 years old.
- You come from one of the following geographical areas in Somalia: South-West State, Hirshabelle State, and Banaadir Regional Administration.
- You have a B2 in English (the linguistic capabilities of the applicants will be tested).
- You are a member of an association that aims at empowering young people.
- You have a good internet connection.
- You are committed to participate in the whole training program (a session of two hours on a biweekly basis for three months).
- You are committed to develop and implement a joint action plan.
